Subject: scheduling a recording, best software?
hi all, i use total recorder mostly for recording to my pc. but what i want
is a program that is capable of waking the pc up from standby and recording
several scheduled recordings over a few days successfully. total recorder
(using the scheduler facility in it) seems to be able to wake the pc up from
standby, but it doesn't seem able to record and save successfully. i've
recently been away for a few days and left it all set up to record some
programs via the line in from my dab radio. when i got home i found each
scheduled recording has an error against it and no recordings were saved. am
i missing something within total recorder, or is there a better program for
doing this sort of thing. i've played with total recorder last night and set
up several scheduled recordings while i monitored what happened. if the
computer had to be woken from standby, i got errors (no idea what error was
as total recorder doesn't seem to want to divulge this useful info), if the
computer was running normally, then stuff recorded fine.
