Hi, I have upgraded my sound card from a sound blaster audigy2 to an emu
1820 because I was wanting a professional level card for 24-bit 192khz audio
and better quality audio, when I got the card installed and drivers
installed the patchmix dsp application that you need to use to configure the
card's settings is completly inaccessible and emu also confirmed to me that
windows volume control is not the tool that is used to control the card's
settings, sound forge 8.0 will support asio drivers so sony says so I have
not upgraded to version 7, I am just going to upgrade to 8 when it is
released. What I want to know is what is the best accessible editor that
supports asio drivers that is single track, I use ntrack version 4 for
multi-track but I also need a single track one while I wait for version 8 of
soundforge. Also is there another program that is accessible that can be
used with the emu 1820 card to change settings because every time I need
settings changed on the card I need to get a sighted person to make the
changes? I have written emu about their inaccessibility and told them about
gwmicro and the blindprogramming page and they told me they would pass my
information along to their development team, but who knows if it will really
hapen? bye
