Hi, You will have to select the correct input on the mixer control in windows press start button, click accessories, click entertainment, click volume control no go to the options menu, pull it down with the alt key, arrow down to properties,press enter, press tab once, you are now on the radio button to select playback or recoring, arrow down to recording, now press tab again, your now in the list of available controls in the recording mixer. Make sure micorphone is selected, and deselect all the otehrs, this is done by pressing space bar I deselect all the others so it makes it easier to press the select button once your back on the main mixer window.
