If you're wanting something for multi-track recording and mixing, then it won't work, but if you're wanting to just do normal audio recording and editing, it's great. Yes it does have features for working with spoken audio i.e. 4-track books, and things like that, but it's all I use for my normal every-day recording of music, or internet broadcasts.
