You could try the Sanyo ICR-B180NX. It has 128 mb of built-in flash
memory and an expansion slot for a mini-sd card of up to 64 mb. It
records in MP3 format and can use bit rates up to 128 kbps. It has a
built-in stereo mic, mono speaker and USB plug. The maximum recordable
frequency is 7500 Hertz, so it's not good for hifi music recordings, but
it sounds good, when one records speech. It doesn't have an AC adapter
socket.
