Hi Doc.
Same thing happened to me with my xp home, although the plug in was Direct X. I got around this by accident really when my windows updates became to come in. However, I was advised, prior to this that Goldwave didn't really require that particular plug in. Hope this is of some help.

Where on a pc is the winamp decoder settings located? What I want to check
out is if this mp3 pro audio by Thompson is checked for optimum listening
quality. It is installed but I am having total demencia as far as to where
to find the winamp decoder settings to see if the check box to enable it is
