I know this isn't what you wanted but a few months ago I bought a 50mw
transmitter made by the Veronica company in the UK.  This isn't a USB
transmitter but I am extremely impressed with it.  In fact the signal
is so good that it is hard to tell the signal is being transmitted.  I
also bought a power supply with the transmitter that filters out some
of the interference.  I paid 196 Australian dollars for the transmitter
