I've increased the computer mic volume with no success. When ever I try to record Jaws speech or anything with the line in, the play back volume is very low. I've checked the levels in volume control, and I can't discover why the play back volume should be so low. It is not just a little low, but very low. It worked fine on my old computer with Windows ME, but since putting total recorder on my new machine, I haven't been able to get it to record properly.

what your doing is recording from your computers mic, so you can try
increasing the volume of the mic. I'm not sure at the moment but doesn't tr
have a increase volume feature?

I am using Total Recorder 45 professional with Windows XP and Jaws 51.

I am trying to record Jaws reading a WordPad document. I have sound board
checked in total recorder. It does the recording, but the volume is very
low when I playback the recording.

Is there something I can change to bring this volume up higher.
