Ok, this clears things up some what.
Does the software to record programming record both audio and vidio to the computers HD? Can you opt for audio only, if you choose?
Does any blind friendly recording software allow for shut down after recording?

I've only seen cards with a coaxial in, though I would think there would be cards with an out connector as well (note, it is not at all unusual for cards to have an S-video out, RCA out, or line-out for sound. I just haven't seen a coaxial out). However, I generally see the computer as the last device in a series, so this doesn't really matter. Aman
