According to the help file you are supposed to be able to record at up to nine times normal speed with total recorder. However, it says that it doesn't work if prerecord is checked. The gap thing is different. The accelerated feature is supposed to be silent when it is working. Other than that, I can't tell how to do it. Thanks for the suggestions. Kurt
