A listing of Canadian produced DVS will shortly appear on: http://www.voiceprintcanada.com and I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised at the breadth and depth of the collection.
Some of the collection is classic stock, but for my money, just as much pleasure is derived from them as the latest Hollywood action kitty flicks. I observe that among the reasons for less recent material is the immense effort that's required to acquire copyright, and some property owners believe that the essential artistry of their master pieces is being defiled by changing the sound track. Yes, and then there are holders who want money. Finally I believe, discussions with a tiny canadian "not for profit" organization is beneath the holders dignity. Yes my friends the vicissitudes of international politics are forever with us in the disability community too. There are some more dvd's with dvs out there. About the only way I know to find out which have it is to get sighted help. on the wgbh site you can sign up for a weekly e-maiil that tells you what movies are being described so you know that the dvd's will probably have dvs also but not necessarily.
