I think that the 12-CD models are monoral speakers, and the 24-CD models have two speakers in that one, which, I believe, give a stereo sound. I hope this helps.

I just bought the TDK I'mASpeaker. I thought the sound would be in stereo. It seems the jack on the speaker turns the sound from a portable CD player from stereo to mono. The manual doesn't say specifically if it is stereo or mono. Although it has a good loud sound, I am disappointed that it isn't actually a stereo device. Any comments or suggestions as to another model or something?
