Hi Jim.

Apparently, you cannot copy out of any of the Soni devices. Something to do
with copywriter or something. However, if you use the line-out and plug
this to your computer's line-in, and use something like Goldwave to get them
onto your computer, you can then use something like Nero to burn them as
CD's for your hi-fi. Get back if you need any more information. The above
method is how I do it. Best wishes.

Subject: I need some help with converting minidisks into mp3

Hello there,
I'm sure this topic has been discussed before, but I really really need some
help or advice from more seasoned people because something's got to give
here for me. <grin>

I have a Sony minidisk recorder, which I absolutely love! It records
beautifully with a sony microphone and everything. What I need to do now is
learn how to put those wonderful recordings on to my computer so that I
could then burn them to CD.
I tried using Total Recorder, but either I'm doing something wrong or
something because it won't convert the sound to stereo sound, so they don't
sound so good, and it was my first time ever trying it.

What do you guys do to convert minidisks? I have some shows a friend
recorded that I'd like to transfer to CDs.
Any ideas would really be helpful.
If you don't want to post to the list, please email me directly.
Thanks.
Jim
