Hi Mari. Your question could be extended to nearly every program out there. 
I recently purchased DC6, a great sound editing program which I have found 
to be quite accessible  for the most part and priced at a level that lives 
between Goldwave and Sound Forge. . The problem is that it comes with this 
huge book, which tells me that there is probably much more that the program 
could do, if I only knew how to do it. I wrote the company, asking about an 
online copy of the manual in text or PDF, but have received no answer.
