Hi, Cindy, winamp is a very non-standard application, so here's what to do. First, start winamp, and then press control p for preferences, and press the home key to get you to the top of the tree-view, and if it is closed, expand it with the right arrow. Once that has been expanded, arrow down to file types, and then tab to the button that says all, and press the space bar on this, but this should have been done by default, when winamp was installed. You can go down the list of file types, and press the space bar to unselect that file type, or association from being played, such as .mp3. Hope this helps, and if you have any further questions, let us know. Oh, it sounds like you have the modern skin support selected, so, what you need to do is while in preferences, with the tree-view expanded, press the letter s for skins, upon which, you may have to shift tab back to the tree-view, but if it says modern skin support, then arrow down to classic skin, and then tab to the close button, and press the space bar, which I forgot to mention as the final step regarding file types. Winamp is very non-standard, in that you usually see a tree-view, and a list-view side by side, but they have tree-views next to tab controls, or they're next to dialog boxes, so don't let that frighten you. I hadn't heard the main menu segments on configuring winamp, but when they become available, I think I'll give them a listen, because even I need refreshing, and I've been using winamp for about 4 years now.
