Yes, I think it is. I know it definitely improves my downloads. First, it's continuously searching for files. Second, it can do up to ten searches at a time, and between the two things, you can get a lot more downloads. One thing, though, when you first start, be sure to go to the Transfers window and click the "Load Incomplete" button. This makes sure that Winmx knows that you still want to finish all those downloads that didn't finish before. Once you hit that Load Incomplete button, Winmx and Quickmx will start searching for those incompletes and finish them if they are found.
