Hi, Just wanted to thank you for your response and let you know that it worked for me. I didn't understand what to do in the Winamp configuration dialogue so had never taken that last step. The odd thing is that with the Microsoft sound mapper active as it apparently was I did not have my bootup windows sounds, hopefully this will be back.
