Hi Tessa, Although there are several recording options to choose from, Microphone, line in, what you hear, you can only use one of them at a time and by changing from line in to what you hear, you have lost the ability to record from cassette. I didn't realise this would happen but it obviously has. I suggest you revert back to line in as you will then at least be able to record your cassettes, even if you can't hear what you are recording. The only other suggestion I can make is to recheck the playback settings in volume control to ensure that line in is not muted. If jaws can't supply this information, you will have to get sighted assistance.
