Hi Shannon.

I'm afraid that I may be of little assistance to you on this one, but I had
great difficulty accessing that software with jaws.  Incidentally, I was not
aware of it at the time, but the software only allows you to copy from your
computer to your md.  Apparently, Sony are quite sensitive about copyright.
I ended up swapping my Sony MD for a desk-top MD and now copy from the
machine into my computer by using the line-in connection.  I find that
GoldWave is very accessible for my work on such files.
