Hi.

CDEX won't allow you to split a large MP3 track into many smaller files.
You could try a program called MP3CLIP to do this.

The following text is taken from www.jfwlite.com where you can download the
program.

You use it with winamp and you have to have both programs running at the
same time. I will give you some hints on that in a minute. When you are at
a point in the song where you want to split it, you go to the program and
enter on the "grab winamp time" button. You can do that and split the file
as many times as you want. Then when you are ready, you hit the "Start"
button and it splits the file without having to convert it to wav first.

Here's exactly what you have to do.
Run the program and tab to the "load" button. This opens a typical open
file dialog and locate the the song you want to split and press enter.
Then tab to the "set" button. This opens a typical save dialog, and tell
the program what to call the split file and what folder
to save it in (it will then add the track numbers automatically). For
example
where it wants a file name, if you put in TestSong and you split the MP3
into 3 parts, they would become TestSong0.mp3, TestSong1.mp3 and so on.

Tab and type a 0 in the edit box and tab once more and enter on the "add
time" button.

Now start the song playing in winamp and anytime you want to split it, enter
on the "grab winamp time" button in MP3 Clipper. When you're done
tab to the "start" button and it will do the rest. It doesn't give you any
indication it is finished, but it doesn't take long, so wait and go check
the folder where you told it to put the split tracks and you should find
them.

Now some tips on how to run winamp and the program at the same time. Here
are two ways, you can come up with others I am sure. Locate the MP3 file in
my computer or windows explorer, but don't start playing it. Instead, go
run the program and get it all set up up to point you enter the 0
and say add time. Then alt tab back to the file and hit enteer on it to
start playing it. Then switch back over to the MP3 Clipper program and then
just keep hitting the grab winamp time button as much as you like.
Or you can run winamp and have the file loaded, but not playing yet, and do
the same as above, except just alt tab to winamp and start the file from
within winamp before switching back to MP3 Clipper.

Clear as mud? Try it, it really isn't bad once you have done it one time.
