Hi.

An update on the Creative TravelSound speakers...

I thought originally that the additional $10 instant rebate was only give on
the web site, but I decided to get into CompUSA and much to my pleasant
surprise, the speakers rang up with the $10 instant rebate as well, along
with a rebate slip for another $20 off via mail. I hooked them up briefly
to my PacMate and played an mp3 and I was truly surprised. They had an
extremely clean sound with articulate bass, and smooth well balance treble.
For speakers this size, they're awesome, and for $39 after rebates, you
can't beat them, at least not with anything else I have heard in that price
range and size. The rebates are only good through this Saturday, so if you
are in the market for something like this, grab one while the price is
right.

Best regards,

Rick Alfaro

Subject: Re: Great deal on a portable speaker

Hi.

I've had the Creative TravelSound speakers for nearly a year now and have
used them both with a portable CD player and my Creative Jukebox.

They are very compact and they do sound very good for their size.

I would recommend them if space is a premium as I don't think you'll get
anything else this size to sound this good.

Subject: Great deal on a portable speaker

While looking around on the net for battery operated portable speakers to
use with my PacMate and Audible Otis, I ran across the following deal for
the Creative TravelSound. According to the reviews, they sound great
considering their small size. They are stereo, but it is a one piece unit
about the size of a digital camera. Folks say you can actually get bass out
of these little guys. Creative claims over 30 hours of battery life on 4
triple a batteries. This would be a great solution for attaching to your
laptop, note-taker, or mp3 player. The retail price is $69, however,
CompUSA has them for $39 after a ten dollar instant rebate, and a twenty
dollar mail-in rebate. This offer is valid only until 05/22/04 via their
web site. Below is the direct url to the product page.

If anyone gets these, please report back on how they sound. I'm still
wavering between these and a Sony srs-t88 which is more expensive, but
reportedly has even a better sound. For $39 however, I don't think you can
go wrong with the TravelSound.

Best regards,

Rick Alfaro
