Oh, it helpss a lot.  I notice sometimes a book is so lousy to begin with
that adjusting the rate doesn't matter.  When a book cannot be saved and
does not sound right to me, if I cannot get a better copy, I skip it.  Sad,
but what else can you do in some cases?  Sometimes, when they copy a book,
locally, the copy may have hiss in it, and sometimes, it does not.  I have
noticed that, too.  But, I have no control over that.  Cdex has no noise
reduction.  I do the best I can with what I have.
