Hello Tony, I recently installed the same sound card, and the same thing happened to me. So I just opened my windows volume control, and found that the controls were all set to 80. In Window Eyes, that means that the setting is quite low, so to achieve maximum volume, I set all the levels to 0, and that took care of the problem. Hope it helps. Josh
