*GENERAL INFORMATION:* Role: Senior Devops Engineer Location: Seattle. WA and Nashville, TN Duration: 6 months contract to Hire No of Positions : 4 Rate: $55/hr AI on C2C Job type: 6 months of contract on C2C terms and then fulltime hire by client. Level: Senior Interviews: Telephonic only *NOTE:* Visa: Prefer USC or GC but open to all work visas as per equal employment opportunity We are also open to accept H4 EADs, L2 EAD, OPT EADs if they cross 10+ years of total experience visible on the resume. If it is USC or GC then a mere 7+ years is sufficient enough to get client attention for immediate interviews. As this is a fulltime role, client is not doing any H1B visa transfers at the moment. *JOB DESCRIPTION* The Devops engineers will work closely with CIE team and Application stakeholders to design, implement and deploy high availability solutions in the Cloud 2.0 environment. The resources will work on and support: 1. Conduct discovery of current Cloud 1.0 application, plan migrations, develop automated CICD workflows (as needed) and conduct various technical tasks associated with the migration of current Cloud 1.0 application to Cloud 2.0 successfully and as per the standards and guidelines defined by the CIE team for Cloud 2.0. 2. Integrate, where applicable, AWS asset provisioning with code release and continuous deployment processes 3. Automate deployment as required 4. Define and document best practices, procedures, and policies in automation and application migration 5. Create code assets and tools to accelerate application migration projects 6. Troubleshoot issues across the whole stack - hardware, software, applications and network *REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: * 1. Experience working with a wide range of platforms, with a deep understanding of web architectures. 2. Production operations and software engineering background with a passion for delivering high-performance, quality software 3. Experience with public cloud, specifically AWS. A “cloud-first” mentality 4. Fluency in Bash and Python with a focus on development and delivery of infrastructure as a service. 5. In-depth knowledge of Configuration Management tools such as Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible or other automation framework in production environments with many nodes. 6. Strong practical Linux and Windows-based systems administration skills in a cloud or virtualized environment 7. Strong knowledge of network security, communications protocols, troubleshooting commands and tools. 8. Clear understanding of the software development lifecycle and Agile Methodology 9. Experience building sophisticated and highly automated infrastructure using automation frameworks such as CloudFormation, OpWorks, and JSON 10. Prior success in automating a real-world production environment 11. Strong scripting skills (I.e. Powershell, Python, Bash, Ruby, Perl, etc…) 12. Experience with revision control source code repositories (Git, SVN, etc…) 13. Experience with continuous integration servers like Jenkins, Bamboo, TeamCity, etc… 14. Experience with seamless/automation build scripts used for release management across all environments 15. Experience with automated testing tools and test driven development 16. Understanding and experience with code deployment (tagging) 17.
