My user wants to know if ParaView can "loft" shells? Any ideas?

Thanks!

Alan

Alan,

A shell is a 3d element with 0 thickness in the mesh but includes a thickness
in the formulation of the element. By default paraview renders a shell as a
thin surface. In some cases this is good enough but in other cases such as
contact it is difficult to visualize the mechanical behavior of the element
without being able to see the thickness of the shell that the mechanical
formulation uses. In some codes a shell element that has thickness for
visualization was called “lofted” there may be other terms used to describe
this.
