String lists and wave files work in RCP files. See http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/pilrc/pilrc/doc/manual.html
Specificially, look for STRINGTABLE and DATA as ways to pull in your info. The "Wave" resource in Constructor just copies the data from the wave file into a resource and gives it a specific type.
