Hi Corinne,

it could also have been the allocation of the storage memory that failed. That's a worse case, because this memory gets not cleared on soft reset.

MTeam might have created some large databases under different CreatorID. Such databases are not automatically uninstalled by the OS, when the application is deleted. (Because the OS does not know to whom they belong.)

Restore helps, if you have a state that is older than the problem.

Things like this can also be solved using tools such as Install manager. (Or Uninstall Manager? - I don't remember.)

Or by manual analysis using some file manager. (Our Explorer has one handy function - RAM / Context menu / Special filter / Show Orphaned. It substantially reduces the list of DBs to check.)

In any case, looking at the memory idicators (amount of dyn. RAM and storage memory) gives a basic indication where to look for the problem.

Thanks for the reply.

Soft reset did not work, hence the need to get an understanding of what was going on.  Did a hard reset and hot sync and all is now OK, after I had done a backup with RescoBackup of course.

Just a general advice.

If the error says "could not allocate memory", then I would assume that it
cannot allocate memory. Probably dynamic memory, I guess. Maybe some app
that did not release allocated memory. (MTeam?)

Find some tool that will show you the amount of available memory. (I am not
going to mention our tools on this forum.)

Or do the easiest thing = soft reset.
