I have tracked event notification in the simulator. The normal sequence observed in a user tap is penDownEvent, ctlEnterEvent, ctlSelectEvent.
When I enqueue a penDownEvent, I observe the following: penDownEvent, ctlEnterEvent, ctlExitEvent. There is no ctlSelectEvent (which is supposed to be system generated). Since I don't ovserve a penUpEvent in a user tap, I have quit generating that. Makes no difference to the outcome.
