You obviously mean "port to C/C++"? But why? If one already has a J2ME app, and can put up with the limitations of J2ME on other platforms, why not on Palm OS? What am I missing here?
There is a J2ME implementation for Palm OS. However, it doesn't ship in the ROM of any devices, and it doesn't let applications take full advantage of the UI and capabilities of Palm OS. The Java implementation of Palm OS is really more for compatibility, and doesn't have all the JSRs that other devices that only use Java support. If you're running a wirelss network and have a Java interface to key customer services, it makes sense to do a Palm OS-native interface over just getting the J2ME version working on the smartphone.
