Keith, what about some statement about the suspected NVFS bugs? We are loosing hours and days and Palm has nothing to say?
Imagine the customer reaction that I met lately: "Never mind that your backup does not work. It's NVFS fault. All backup programs have the same problem..."
I don't expect any apology, but an advice that could let us return to our business.
Maybe somebody else from PalmSource/PalmOne?
Keith hasn't worked for PalmSource since last summer.
Both PalmSource and palmOne are aware of the problems with the initial implementation of NVFS. I know people at both companies that have been working on this code. However, I suspect that no one reading these groups is able to make any sort of official statement about when or if updates will be made to devices to address these issues.
palmOne's official advice is contained in the NVFS whitepaper on our pluggedin site. That's all we've said about this right now.
