An application is compiled to a pdb file and this provides the layout of a

Here I do not know the structure in which data is stored. Can i retrieve the data and modify it in some simpler method.

Hi Sareeta,

You can open and edit records both in the PDA and in the destkop. To edit in the PDA, try to run the FileZ program. It's free and GPL'd. You can get it from:

http://www.palmgear.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=software.showsoftware&prodid=9992

If you prefer to do it on the desktop, you can try the 'par' utility. It's also free and open sourced and can be downloaded from:
http://www.djw.org/product/palm/par/

With these tools, you can open and manipulate records from the PDB. But you'll still need to do some reverse engineering to figure out the internal representation of the data in the records.

        Best regards,
        Luciano
