Garmin projects are designed for code warrior and I am using eclipse. I have the includes setup already, isn't it possible to make some generic apps without using the garmin includes for the PDA? The garmin headers and objects basically provide access to the GPS system. I want to know how to compile for the emulator rather than the simulator.
You don't need the Garmin headers if you're doing a non-GPS application. I've not looked at their SDK, but I expect the changes needed to make it work with PRC-Tools aren't too bad -- it's probably just changing the way their shared library calls are defined.
Garmin doesn't provide an emulator -- as their device is based on Palm OS 5, there is no emulator available, only simulators. Anyway, Palm OS apps are all 68K code anyway, so there aren't separate builds for emulator or simulator -- any of the platforms or devices can use the same PRC, as long as you're not using native code.
