Hi, Basically, every Palm that has the universal connector has kinda RS232/(I sync my Tungsten T3 via RS232). Same is valid for the III,V and Vii Series. The Devices with the Mini USB port, however, do not have any kind of RS232 hardware. A Palm handheld with Compact Flash is only available from Sony, but I wouldnt invest there anymore because they want to leave the market. I would go with the Tungsten T or the m515-they are well readable both indoors and outdoors and shouldnt be that expensive anymore. However, stay away from the transflective Screens. Although they are well indoors, their outdoor viewability is greatly degraded! Best regards Tam

But if I cannot get all of these, I would like to know which one can do the best compromise for my project.
