How to register IOTA events

Hi,
I want to be notified about applications being downloaded and installed OTA.
I tried to register to phnServiceIOTA but when i actually download some app OTA 
I dont get any notification.
I need to do that, so I can Upgrade my app. over the air.
Any suggestions?
