Our application uses the enhanced serial port functions to do low-level communication between a Palm (OS 3.3 or higher) and one of our proprietary controls. When installed on USA-purchased Palm devices (OS 3.5) it immediately works fine in every case. When installed on a Palm purchased locally in Europe (same OS 3.5) the IR fails to receive data properly on all units purchased. Is there a difference between USA and European Palm devices specifically related to IR communication (frequency, etc)? Has anyone seen anything like this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
