Hi Frode,

yes this is a tough one to backport, it should be possible however AFAIR
the refactors made it easier to fix. We actually got an internal report
about the same issue [0], which was closed due the complexity.

To reproduce you might try the original BZ that resulted in this fix [1].
Don't know how feasible it is however this sounds like the upgrade would be
a better option.
