Greetings,

What might be causing the inability to change SysConfig parameters from the Agent UI?

File permissions are correct:
-rw-rw----. 1 apache apache 208K Jan 6 22:37 ZZZAAuto.pm
-rw-rw----. 1 apache apache 11K Jan 6 22:26 ZZZAuto.pm

Yet when I modify a value through the SysConfig UI the browser chews on it for a moment, reloads the page, and nothing has changed.

If I modify the values directly in the .pm files above, the changes are reflected properly in the SysConfig UI and take effect in OTRS.

Thoughts?

Interesting.

On a thought (though it's not running as such) I changed the permissions on these two files to otrs_user:apache. I was able to make /one single update/ through the SysConfig UI, which updated the permissions on the files to apache:apache, and locked out any further changes.

Obviously it's file permissions, but the permissions aren't behaving as they should; and OTRS is resetting them.

I tried re-running:
bin/otrs.SetPermissions.pl --otrs-user=otrs --otrs-group=apache --web-user=otrs --web-group=apache /opt/otrs

But it had no effect.

Apache is, in fact, running as apache:apache. It should have no problem access the files at all.

Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.
