Maybe I am going to try to avoid the pop-up page and embed the whole thing into the affected page itself. I reckon the users won't like a new page (too many clicks..). Furthermore, I am probably going to prohibit any manual user entry into the free field itself as I do only want to have clean values selected from the list and no typos...
