Dear fellow folders,

The CFC is running a monthly challenge, and we invite you to participate
actively!

Wow! We knew action models were popular, but we were still surprised and
excited to see how many new models, with innovative ideas, you came up
with. Well done to all!

If you haven't explored the entries, this is the time! And with the new
video option, you can see the model in action!

Past

Since the previous challenges were less competitive in nature, we decided
to skip declaring a winner. But surely, this time we want to know which is
your new favorite action model! Go, explore, and vote for your preferred
models <https://www.cfcorigami.com/challenge/action-models>.

Future

Our next challenge is “Seed Package”!

We are moving from action to practicality.

Imagine yourself on a train to Shanghai. You just bought some nuts in their
shell, and it feels like snack time. Alas! Where will you put the shells?
You have no plastic bag, but you do have a 15 cm kami. Of course.

So, here is your challenge. Design a small, foldable bag for storing items
as small as nut shells, seeds, or small change you wish to keep together.

It must have an easy way to open and close, and a formidable lock, to
prevent it from spilling its contents in your backpack. And, of course, the
bigger the volume, the better it is!

The first entry is by Tomoko Fuse, who joined me on this train trip and
contributed the diagrams. Note that you need to make a rectangle out of
your square kami before you start.

Let's get practical!!

Best regards,

Ilan Garibi
