I have seen the parajitas on the main plaza in Zaragoza, on a very magical night when thousands of white flying insects lose their wings and drop them all over the plaza. I suppose they die but it looks like cherry petals dropping, in August. It was about 30 years ago so there have been parajita statues in Spain for awhile!
