Dear folders of the world, We, Winnie and Ilan, are extremely happy to announce our new book is out. This is the first book we authored together, with a focus on creating origami tessellations with curves, using straight-creased tessellations as a base. It is a full-coloured book with 156 pages, covering ~50 models.
This book is not your traditional origami book with step-by-step instructions. Rather, it contains examples and crease patterns that are used to help explain the concepts of how to design your own curved tessellation. Readers are encouraged to experiment and play once they understand the basic concepts. While models in the pictures are made with the help of an electronic cutter, all the designs can be made without one, via the use of templates.
