Very understandable given the constraints. It is indeed difficult to ensure a
true "world-wide" event.
I've the same problem, I never participate in workshops that end later than
2200 or start earlier than 0600, GMT+1 (or +2 during summertime).
A few times I've participated in the first or last half of events that extend
over a full day (or more), when my blocked out 8 hours only cover part of the
event. Some of these events make 12 or 24 hours, fully knowing that few, if
any, will participate all of that time.
For Lorenzo: Another take is to create a similar event, within European time
zones.
Luckily, there are plenty of Zoom events that fit with my wake hours, even if
they are based elsewhere. Look for instance for Increase Origami (India),
Gerardo (Colombia), Leyla Torres (New York), Ilan Garibi (Israel), and several
others.
For some reason I can't from the top of my head list regular, European events;
I'm sure they must exist. Perhaps they are more nationally oriented, like my
own society's that tend to be in Danish ... Perhaps we can acquire a clone of
the energetic Gerardo; because, in the end, such events are driven by
individuals.
