Dear Folders,

OrigamiUSA Scholarships for Young Folders is back!  We are accepting 
applications for both the Annual Convention 2019, June 21-24 at St. Johns 
University in Queens, New York (https://origamiusa.org/convention2019) and the 
Pacific Coast OrigamiUSA Convention, September 12-16 in Portland, Oregon.

Please consider nominating someone you know! People may also nominate 
themselves. A nominee should be a young person (under 18) who shows great 
promise as a folder and who would develop their skills and ideas by attending 
an origami convention.

Nominations for 2019 will open on February 1, 2019. The deadline for 
nominations to be received is March 15, 2019.  We will be choosing the 
scholarship recipients for BOTH the Annual Convention 2019 and PCOC 2019 at

Nomination Criteria

        • A nominee must be under 18 years of age as of
                • June 21, 2019 if attending the Annual Convention in June, 
2019,
                • September 12, 2019 if attending PCOC 2019 in September, 2019.
        • A nominee must be a resident of the United States.
        • The online form must be completed and submitted by March 15, 2019.
        • The nomination must be approved by an adult Parent/Guardian by 
sending an email to [email protected].
Scholarship Benefits

The scholarship benefits include for each chosen nominee and a parent/guardian:

        • Convention fees for each chosen nominee.
        • Housing/food allowance for each chosen nominee and accompanying 
parent/guardian.
        • Travel reimbursement allowance (including air) of $500 for each 
chosen nominee and $500 for their accompanying parent/guardian.
        • One year OrigamiUSA junior membership
