Hi! I answered this briefly and without fully reading your full email
apparently ...

The meetings I hold are fairly "open" - I try to have something planned, or
at least bring a couple of books with me we can fold out of. Often someone
else in the group will have a model they are willing to teach which is
always fun.

I've never had a good result with everyone just showing up and not having
SOMETHING somewhat prepared.

I did find that OUSA has the group handbook still available. It is a pdf
which you can find here:

If the link doesn't work, go to OrigamiUSA.org. Click Resources, then go to
Origami Groups and Societies, click on U.S. Origami Organizations and
scroll to the bottom of the page and you'll see the blue highlighted link
for the PDF.
