Someone in the English forum has started a friendly competition. I think
it's a really interesting one so I decided to extended it to here as well.
It's for creating a Ping Pong ball launcher.

This are basically the rules:

1. Must start from an A4 size 80 g/m2 copy paper. If you can only easily
get letter size 75 g/m2 copy paper, that's OK too.

2. The sheet can only be folded; no cutting, gluing, or adding other
elements to the sheet during the folding process.

3. The launcher must shoot the Ping Pong ball vertically.

4. The launcher must use the potential energy of the sheet and folds; you
can't hurl it or anything like that. An example of potential energy is an
stretched rubber band.

Any questions? Let's all participate and have some fun! Share videos in
order to see your launcher shooting the ball and measuring how high it
jumped. We can discuss about the challenge and share the links through the
mailing list.

When do you think the deadline should be? I propose one month from now:
Saturday February 10; but since it's a friendly competition and there won't
be any judges or anything like that, I ask you to please share your ideas,
pictures, videos, as soon as you have them ready. OK?

Let the games begin =P
