Question: What are some good methods for dealing with other people's loud/crying kids/babies on long flights? Answer (one of 70+), from Ian Mc....Father to a firecracker of a daughter, Written Feb 27, 2015: Introduce yourself to the beleaguered parent and offer to buy them a drink. Perhaps take a piece of paper (tear out a magazine page?) and make a paper airplane or a paper flower or – if you have the skill – some origami as a gift for the upset child. In addition to being an empathic gesture to the parent, it'll be psychologically more difficult for you to be irritated if you know their first names.... Karen It hardly needs saying, I'm taking plenty of origami paper for my flights this Christmas time, and wearing an OrigamiUSA t-shirt for the trip (it makes the TSA guys smile) Karen Reeds, co-ringleader, Princeton Public Library Origami Group Affiliate of Origami USA, http://origamiusa.org/ We usually meet 2nd Wednesday of the month, 6:30-8pm, 3rd floor.
