Dear all,

I just heard the sad news that Fujimoto Sensei passed away on 28th of July
2015. He was 92 years old.

My Japanese friend Satoko Saito visited him for the last time in 2011.
She, together with Tomoko Fuse and Taiko Niwa made it possible that Mr.
Fujimoto's work is published again, first by printing the notebooks and the
reprint of "Invitation to Creative Playing with Origami", first published in
1982. And later by publishing 2 new books which has many beautiful color
pages (ISBN 978-4416310410 and 978-4416312001) with Fujimoto's work and
brand new diagrams.

He was very glad and surprised that they wanted to do this.
My friend thinks he was an honest teacher and enjoyed to teach his students.
He liked to teach and learn. Origami was a good method for him to help
understanding math and science.
He welcomed them and he still enjoyed to fold paper. They thought it was
wonderful and were impressed.

She hopes that he has peace in heaven.

It is still enjoyable to try to fold his origami designs.
Let's fold something by him to honor and remember him.
