Hi Dermot,

Diagrams are often more flexible than photographs; you tweak the drawing to
get a "view" that is easier to understand, but would be impossible to
actually capture in a photo. I've done this several times.

There's also a tendency for diagrammers to feel like using a photo is
cheating. Personally, I am starting to come around on this point-- I've
seen a couple very nice photodiagrams recently, and with some models, it
would really speed up my workflow.
