The Book As Art: Form and Function in Creative Book Structures. An
Illustrated Talk by Dominic Riley

Monday, July 13, 2015, 5-7 pm

This lecture will illustrate the potential of the book as a three
dimensional object, from pop-ups, hidden fore-edge paintings, peep-show
books, to books with hidden compartments and intriguing surprises.

The Book Club of California is a non-profit membership-based organization
founded in 1912. It supports book-making, fine printing, design, typography,
illustration, literature, collecting, and scholarship related to the history
and literature of California and the West through publications, public
programs, and exhibitions.
