Nolan's star/ring and Kawamura's Butterfly Ball are both action models that would both tickle their fancies. You probably won't have time to teach both, but you could do one. Jeremy Shafer's book "Origami to Astonish and Amuse" also has a number of action models. Hope that helps Joe Power
